10M views at 17k subs

KiddieToysReview

I Love YTtalk
It's been a busy few weeks and a busy Saturday, we finally hit the 10M channel views mark and passed 17k subs.

We also had another milestone I've been gunning for, and that's 500k views/48 hours. Actually managed to blitz through that and reach almost 800k views in 48 hours.

Work continues on a rolling 24/7 schedule. Shooting two new playlists at the moment, hope to start releasing next week. Next milestones will be 20k subs, 20M views, and 1M view/48 hours.

We've also decided to open another channel, complementary and non-competing to our primary channel. I'm finding Cards will be a great way to drive views. In the advanced planning stages of that now, hope to have it up by middle of September.

Thanks to everyone on here for awesome threads, discussions, and advice. So much to learn, especially from some of the older members going back 2+ years!

Keep cranking them out!! (to borrow an expression from @Video Cranker ).

amazing stuff mate well done, can i ask a quick question. why do you think you have a low sub rate compared to your views? i imagine its something to do with the niche your in? do younger viewers tend not to subscribe as much or watch videos more than once?

will the new channel be a similar theme? niche? or going for something else?

Thanks! There's another channel very similar to ours the kids watch, their stats are: 16k subs and 22M views. So that's even more views at the same sub level.

It's kids behavior on devices. The parents give them their device and the kids watch in sequence whatever runs in the playlist or recommended. Young kids under 3-5 won't break the sequence and subscribe, plus they don't know what that is anyway. I've observed my kids' behavior on devices, and also a few other kids, and they just roll with what's next.

The new channel will be in the kids area as well. Branding would have to be very similar to more smoothly drive views across.

That's quite an accomplishment. With I only thousands of subscribers you've managed to hit a view rate of that high in only 48 hours. I'm impressed. What's your other channel that will be complementary and non competing?

That's amazing! Congratulations! Plus, you're always good with giving advice and your experiences here, which I'm sure I'm not the only one to appreciate.

Wow that's amazing! Your videos are great to! What would you say was the point you started gaining traction, according to what your own goals were at the start of the channel?

It took a good 3+ months and 50 videos to gain any traction. The point things started rolling was when one of our videos was suggested on a top tier kids channel, driving close to 20,000 views in a day. This lasted 1 day, the next day there were a few hundred views as we dropped off suggested. But that was the catalyst to subsequent traffic, suggested spots, and growth.[DOUBLEPOST=1471764012,1471763951][/DOUBLEPOST]
Holy crap thats incredible. Seeing that view chart is amazing I cant imagine getting near that many views. Congratulations!
Thanks! Keep working hard never give up.[DOUBLEPOST=1471764094][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thanks! As we talked a few posts up, I think kids watch, but they don't subscribe as much as older kids and adults, perhaps they don't know how or what subscribe is.
I'll keep it secret for the time being, until we are ready to roll with the videos ;-)[DOUBLEPOST=1471764350][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm finding myself researching more and more. The back-end of all this is fascinating. Wish there were more hours in the day!
