YouTube's $5-per-month Membership come to smaller creators

Has anyone got this successfully set up?

We are a predominantly a livestream channel. It said we were eligable, so I set it up.. I think. I see 3 members including myself :giggle:, and have emojis and badges but nothing else. I see only a join button on YouTube gaming, or the $ at the bottom of chat when we are live. No 'JOIN' button on the main channel like I have seen on others. I want to be able to set up exclusive live streams for members. I cannot find where you set up perks or any options to give members anything exclusive except the badges and emojis?

If anyone can help me, you're a legend ! :thumbsup2:

Mmmm I'm not sure is only for 50.000 subs channels. I think it applies to everyone right now.

For example, I'm a small 6000 subs channels and I have enabled Memberships in my Status and Features. Also, you need to be very careful of what emojis you choose since you sign after creating them that you have the right to use them.

I can confirm as well that my second channel with 6072 subscribers have the possibility to enable the channel memberships (I didn't do it yet).

On the other hand I contacted YouTube support approximately 4 weeks ago to enable the feature on my main channel and they said they can't. But I am receiving my Silver Play Button (It is in customs clearance now), so I can't figure what was the reason for not enabling the feature on my main channel, but having it now on my secondary obscure random uploads channel.

P.S. [edit] My second channel is not set as Gaming channel!

Youtube is a little messed up now....I just read a post on this forum and I actually checked the channel ...the channel a 4k channel had a community tab and my channel for example has 8k subs but no community tab. so I think youtube with the many features on beta testing, they are a little messed up in how they are rolling out the features following the conditions set.

I think they will enable it to other channels in different waves. I have 6K and they enabled the community tab on my channel! Also, today I got the opportunity to try Premiere and it was so freaking awesome! Is a great way to upload and see how your viewers react,, they also give you tips about what they liked and what they didn't like! I totally recommend it

I wouldn't ask my fans to waste money on stupid things like that. Would smaller channels even have enough of a fanbase for this to benefit them?
 
I'm a 6k subs channel and have 3 memberships 1 patreon and 1 twitch follower... Is better than nothing IMO
The idea of all this is not to have a badge or an emoji in the channel but to support the youtuber so he can keep making videos, getting the badge is just a little extra, passionate fans understand this helps the channel grow and they just want to donate

I contacted YouTube support yesterday regarding the issue. They told me that I don't have it on my main channel, because it is not rolled out for all channels yet. So, I have to wait. Anyway they checked my channel and I am not sure if by coincidence or they fixed it, but I started to receive notifications and e-mails about comments again and this feature wasn't working for several weeks already on my channel.
