Where have my views gone?

Yeah, definitely.
I disagree. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Lots of channels have long dry spells, and sometimes the climb at first is very slow. You should listen to the stories of famous youtubers, alot of them had worse stats than some of our forum members in their first year of vlogging. And one thing I've noticed. My views will go down, and I'll think people aren't into my videos, then I talk to some of my subscribers on FB and go "so you weren't that into my new vid? You never commented or anything" And they're like "new vid?? I didn't know you had one!" So it does NOT mean that all your subs saw the video and ignored it. Maybe alot of them didn't even go on youtube that day.

I just did that, and mine comes out to 64... so you're saying that's actually a good ratio?

I think so. If you had 300 subs and 300 views that would mean all of your subs watched one of your videos one time. That would be terrible! It would also hint that no outside sources have viewed your stuff, which would be even worse. But having several views per subscriber so to speak, goes to show that a) your subs are likely watching your stuff and b) outsiders are watching your stuff. It's all good! :)

random tangent: the title of this thread made me sing in my head "oh where, oh where can they beeeee?"
anyone know the tune? :p
I thought of it like a poem. Like this was about to be really poetic and deep "Oh where have my views gone, those views of my early vlogging days, I remember it like it was yesterday..." haha

Course I just thought of another way to look at it. If your ratio was majorly high, that could be bad too. Like what if I had 600 subs and 600,000 views. That would mean after 10,000 people view my video, one wants to sub me. And that wouldn't be too good either.

On a depressing note. My GFX channel has got more views than my main channel today (8 vs 4) and I started the GFX channel yesterday.

Well yes exactly you're quite right. It's nice to have a balance! Tobuscus has 201 views for every subscriber. That's pretty good going I'd say given his views! (half a billion)
