What do you consider a "big" YouTuber?

30,000 subs and over 1 mil in views. That's what's dancing around in my head, it's funny we have different numbers. :)

100k is a good starting point. It helps get you in the door and allows you to work with larger channels. I can say that at 50k, there aren't that many doors opening. We have to work really hard to find those collaborations and we don't get invited to any big YouTube events unless we beg.

250k is probably a more accurate number. At that point, you will get invited to speak at youtube's meetups and it's also likely that someone will pay your way if you attend large gatherings like Vidcon, Playlist live or Summer in the City.

As far as how networks see you, 100k is the upper tier for subscribers, but they also focus on view count. 1 million per month is the entry level for getting a good deal and 3 million per month will get you a max deal with large networks if you know how to negotiate.

Whoa...this is an eye opener.

10,000+ subs, a good amount of comments on videos, 1,000+ views on videos, also lots of likes. I think a channel that lives up to this is pretty known already.
They can even have less subs but if the people are active, I consider that known as well.

Interesting question
"Big" is for me when someone is really well known by the people who are interested in the topics the YouTuber covers and is seen by the community as some sort of an axpert in the related niches.
