Hello everyone!

What do you think it takes to be a good YouTuber? Is it your on screen personality, your ability to adapt, your good looks ;) , a hard worker, being a genuine person, or a mixture of them all?

Obviously it takes a lot of different traits, but I would love to hear ONE or TWO things you guys think it takes to be a SUCCESSFUL YouTuber. Thanks!

The things I've seen from the successful YouTube creators:
  • Young
  • Good-looking
  • Loud and excited in the way they speak
  • Able to create videos with good picture and sound quality
  • They stay on-message (not necessarily the exact same video types, but I know a Grav3yard Girl video within 2 seconds of seeing it, even i Bunny says nothing, which she never does)
  • Tuned into trends on YouTube and in youth culture
  • Has something to offer their audience
  • Not very self-referential (doesn't make too many videos about making videos)
  • Has a point of view
  • Has a regular upload schedule
  • Engages with their audience
  • Engages with other YouTube creators regularly

I think persistence and the willingness to get out of one's comfort zone and experiment with new things, failing in the process but learning as well, are key ingredients to a successful YouTuber

I think you hit the nail on the head here. There's just not one secret to becoming a successful Youtuber, you have to do all of these things. Of course that is if the OP meant successful in terms of having lots of subscribers and views.
