What’s one thing you’d like to change about your channel?

Seansie

Loving YTtalk
I’m talking more about the overall presentation and/or vibe your channel gives off. I’m not talking about how many views or subs a channel has.

For example, I’d really like to have a working color palette on my channel. I just can’t seem to nicely match the colors of a Phoenix in with the types of animations and videos I make. I think I need to better establish my art style first before I can officially change my banner and icon to something I’d like to keep for a significant amount of time though.

I don't think I'd change much about my channel. It would be cool to learn how to animate, but for what my content is I like where my channel has went. I guess the audio could be better because the GoPro camera cases muffle the sound when it is water proof. Most of the time I use my waterproof case so the audio kind of sucks, but that's where I add music.

I wish I had better editting software or I had extra play money to buy some really nice equipment to make high quality videos. Right now I'm trying to get my side hustle on so I have money to play with to spend on these things.

Currently my video editing software is Magix that I got from a Humble Bundle deal on Steam. It's not the best but it works for now. I'm not sure what I should switch to once I get money. I don't know what is easy to use and learn.

Are you a student? If so you can get a huge discount with Cyberlink unless they changed something. I use Cyberlink Powerdirector and the other programs with the package. I really like this software. I got the DIrector's package so it came with a bunch of extras. If you are a student you will save a ton of money and this program is pretty easy to learn.

Well luckily YTtalk is probably the best place to find out what some good software for you would be.

I use premiere pro, which I know can be very expensive. Luckily they have this student special program at my college where I get a major discount on the whole Adobe Suite. Without that I probably wouldn’t be able to make majority of the content on my channel now. I have used stuff like iMovie and others. Not too bad for free or a very low charge. I like the simplicity, but sometimes things can be too simplistic. It’s a lot about your content after that point.

Unfortunately I am no longer a student. I make it out to sound like I am hurting for money. I shouldn't word it like that. I am have extra money but I spend it on other things before software. Until I become dedicated to YouTube I think I'll hold back on spending $100+ on software and hardware. [emoji33]

I will look into Cyberlink though. I like seeing all the options available and seeing reviews to see which UI looks friendliest to me. [emoji23]

Yeah I have been browsing the forums here and seeing what software options people suggest. I also look at what their content looks like and compare it to what the software looks like to see what software is good for creating which type of content.

I want to find a good UI that is a good fit for me.

If you are looking for animation it seems like Adobe is a good place to look. Just for editing video content I love my Cyberlink software. Our channels are very different in this forum so you have everything from animation, to dog videos, to tutorials, and random stuff.

We have a lot of info in here if you are not spamming so if you ask good questions you will get good answers.[DOUBLEPOST=1532841622,1532841450][/DOUBLEPOST]

My latest videos are done with Cyberlink if you want to take a look. I'm not monetized anymore so extra views just mean views to me so I'm not promoting. I just like where I got to with my editing and quality from when I started. I don't even think my channel comes up in here right now lol

I need to be more active!! :o Once I finish my other projects, I'll become more active again. I feel bad spending time making videos when I have other things I need to get done...so...

But that aside, I'd like to make better backing tracks. That's the step to my videos that I struggle with the most. I want to eventually go to a professional and see how they do it. I hope I'll learn something. :o

This is a good point. There are so many different channels that can make answers very different based on the content they make. I’ve heard of cyberlink before, but never looked much into it. Thanks!

I feel that. I became inactive for a few months just because life was getting in the way so much. It makes me sad since I know that consistency is key. You got this though! I don’t know much about backing tracks, but I think it’s important that you do things you’re passionate about.
