Finally YouTube parnters, videos being montised! so now what does this mean?

We have a few other threads that have covered this topic. I'll give you the jist. Don't get too excited man, they're calling us partners but so far that doesn't give us any of the benefits of actually being a partner. Also you can't apply for partnership anymore, you have to get high enough stats they notice you and ask YOU. This means small channels with great content won't be partnered based on their content anymore. And now no one is clear on how to get the true partner benefits anymore. It's very confusing and most people are not too thrilled about it.
