Hi all,

I do video game walkthroughs with commentary, and a few of my videos have 'Content-ID Matches' associated with them (hence I am unable to monetize them).

This is fine. I have acknowledged these 'Content-ID Matches'.

However, just the other day, the strangest thing happened. They suddenly became monetized (Yes, the videos with 'Content-ID Matches').

How did this happen??? And yes by monetized I mean there is the green '$' icon there. Also, when I click on the green '$' icon, I CANNOT un-monetize them, there is no option to do so. What is going on? Has anyone ever had this happen before?

Cheers

I think it would have been monetised by the original copyright holder maybe. That's generally what happens when you acknowledge the claim. They put ads on it to make money. How long did you leave the videos for before they were monetised?

The Content Owner possible changed their policy from Monetized to Tracked.
Tracked means that instead of getting any money from their re-uploaded content they'll just be able to track their views/demographics through their analytics.
