Video in 4K, is it worth it?

Hi masters, I would like to get your advice. Do you think making video in 4K worth the time and effort? What would be the right resolution for win-win between viewers and content creators? In my case, some small changes will cause me a 2 hour of rendering for 10 min video.

Appreciate your experience and opinion.

Personally I cannot see any sense to it, unless your target demographic needs it for some reason. YT says over 70% of views are on mobile devices... a 7 inch screen really does not need 4k

I aimed for 4k in the beginning of my channel. I had a decent laptop, but editing just lagged like crazy, so I wen't back to regular 1080p.
