So do you think they'll fix that shelf thing before they release it to the general public?
That sure sounds complicated!!!!I'm not sure. I got an email back from the development team saying they would fix the issue right away, but since I sent a list of about 30 issues, I have no idea what they were talking about. Right now, you cannot use a playlist as a shelf unless you tag every video in that playlist with something unique. You can have "Playlists" as a shelf, that will show all your playlists, but not an individual playlists. So you have to bulk tag every video in the playlist and remember to use that same tag on any video you add to the playlist in the future to create a custom playlist shelf. The order on the shelf is determined by the order in which the videos are tagged with the most recently tagged video getting the head spot. Once the videos are tagged, it's impossible to change the order without untagging/retagging.

why do they have to keep on changing the layout of the home page and the channels? they need to center the homepage etc. because i hate having to move my chair to the left and see that horrible big white chunk to the right.there are some plug ins to center the layout of YTlol if i got invited i don't think i would be trying it out. the layout i have at the moment is a pain, i liked the one a couple years ago before the changewhy do they have to keep on changing the layout of the home page and the channels? they need to center the homepage etc. because i hate having to move my chair to the left and see that horrible big white chunk to the right.
We switched over to the new layout on Friday night. Saturday's numbers just came in and there was virtually no change at all from our averages. 300 subs, which is just above our average and just under 51k views, which is slightly above our 30 day average of 46k, but within the norms of our average weekend. So just going from the results on the first day, the new layout doesn't seem to make a difference. It didn't help or hurt us. We also didn't get any comments on youtube or any social media outlet complaining or praising the new design.
