Promoting on social media?

What social Media Sites have you promoted your channel on? Which ones have been successful? I haven’t tried any yet but I’m in the process of trying to promote in Tumblr. But I’m not sure. Which have been successful or not so much for you?

I think it largely depends on your niche. Depending on where you think you'll find your audience, and it varies too. For instance, Instagram has an audience of business professionals completely different than the ones on twitter. One thing I definitely try to do is to prioritize one platform and then re-purpose content you post there to other social media accounts.
