Hello Everybody!!!

Well I've been part of this site for a couple of weeks now and I must say there is a lot of things on here I have learned.

One of which is:
In order to grow my channel I going to need to promote my videos!
So given the fact that I am on Facebook most of the time and I have 300+ group that I belong to
I can promote my videos on FACEBOOK!
Now of course I DON'T want to SPAM so I decided to settle on just 5 posts a day.
So for example I love scuba and often do a lot of scuba related videos.
So I will post the same video to only 5 of my scuba group sites and so one.

So I guess what I am asking is your thought to my idea.
Yes I am kind of new at this as I looking at my Youtube page as more of a business and NOT just a hobby!

So honest send me some feedback, you might have ideas that I haven't considered yet.

Take care

Great idea. I suppose the only thing I'd say is that spamming isn't just down to the volume of posts you make - a single post to a single group could still be considered spam.

Your posts have to be relevant to the groups your posting to, and you've got that because you said that you'll post scuba videos to your scuba groups, but I'm just saying this for anyone else that reads this thread in the future as I think it could turn into a useful thread.

The most important thing is to try and think of the places you post your videos from the perspective of another group member --- is your content relevant to them, would it add value? If you can answer yes to both questions, then it's a good place to post it.

Another way to do it, if you can afford to, would be to use Facebook Ads and target your videos. Of course, that costs - and there's a learning curve/science to it, but it could be very worthwhile done right.

I agree with you 100% and that is my intent!
As per Facebook ads, do they really work???
Is it worth pursuing??
I've never tried Facebook ads so I really not sure.

Thank for commenting!

Hey MarkFacebook ads work, generally - there's a reason so many people use them - including corporates, Internet Marketers, solo entrepreneurs, smaller businesses and local business. There's a learning curve, and an art form to them, and the better you are at crafting the exact format and targeting to the right audiences, the better they will / should work.

You probably wouldn't advertise every video, and you'd need to choose whether you advertised individual videos or the channel as a whole. You'd need to look at what value you're providing in the advert and why that would be worth it for your target audience.

Let me give you an example that might work for you. Say there's some new piece of swanky scuba diving kit that's just been released and you've decided to buy and review. With the right title on the video, and then with the right paragraph on a Facebook ad that would engage other scuba divers you could target it to people who like scuba diving. That's quite a wide audience though, so you might run several ads and target it at different countries, different age ranges and each gender.

You could then find that your adverts resonate most with say 18 - 35 year old males and females in the US, Spain and Portugal, and other places not so well... So future similar ads you'd just target for your most popular areas.

Of course, I am oversimplifying here, though I've had a bit of practice with Facebook ads... I'm more just giving you an idea. I strongly recommend that you take up a course from an expert though, whether that be from SkillShare, Udemy, an Internet Marketer you like that specialises in FB ads, a book from Amazon, etc --- use reviews to choose wisely, but learning from someone with experience in the field and a proven track record is the best way to understand how it works.

Hope that helps! :)

Well Mark it seems like you have a good idea and by the way one more thing spamming is not just down to how many post you make I mean if you make 55 post in one minute for example that would be spamming but it's about the quality of the post not just a quantity of it you also don't want to sound like you're begging like don't say check out this video And subscribe that'll throw people off you want to make an enticing that way it's promotion but in a good way
