I keep getting something on my inbox, its not a comment, not a pm, nor a video respond, Its a "add contact message". Didn't youtube remove friends on their site, & how are these people still adding?!
 
They just go into the contact list for PMs and what not. I don't see the point in it but yeah, its still there just as a contact list if you ever want to PM.
 
It's also a way to keep people from spamming you. You can change your settings to allow only people on your contacts can send you messages. That way you don't get those occasional spam messages that's forwarded to like twenty other people.
