pay for paid promotion?

Hey y'all I wanted to ask in this group if y'all pay these paid promotions to run your channel on there website I had one guy interested with me wanting me to do a podcast but the catch is I had to pay some money and the video would go live and google would give me exposure it sounded to good to be true but I was kinda hesitant though.

a lot of sketchy stuff out there

Yea I agree when I was told by this one person in the other facebook group that I was in he just told me the price same as for discord too and I'm like well this is kinda sketchy.
