Partnered or Not Partnered it's all good.

I will echo that people should be focusing on creating
content and healthy communities around their channel.
In my opinion, that would create sustainability.
Unfortunately, there are far too many people who are
putting the cart before the horse and focusing on the money.

Partnership is pretty much useless now unless you have millions of views per day. There are to many networks out there that will offer a (Banner) partnership to anyone. I've seen 100's of full partnered channels with only a couple of hundred subs and a few thousand views.

All of these tiny channels becoming partnered massively decreases the amount of money an advertiser is willing to spend on advertising on videos. The rapid growth of these tiny channels getting (Banner) partnership has had an effect on the medium size channels that were once making a decent amount of money.

The chance of making a living of YouTube is rapidly decreasing. You would have to be very naive to think otherwise. (Or just stupid)

Hey Hey.. no name calling.. Go with lack of education or uneducated perhaps even dunce like, but stupid is so harsh

We have not seen any decrease in revenue and we're in that medium sized range-and I can guarantee that our network makes far more money from those small channels than they do from us.

Take a look at Machinima They recruited 100's of small time channels and now they can't even afford to pay their pathetic $2 CPM and are in a bit of a dilemma at the moment . So, why all the problems? Nobody wanting to advertise on channels with hardly any traffic = No money to cover your small size channels.

As you're probably aware, Machinima are now slashing their CPM across all middle sized channels.

If It can happen at one of the largest networks, then trust me, more will follow unless the other networks use Machinima as an example, not to follow!
