Okay big noob question here

SilentRich

I Love YTtalk
But are there any (if any) good pieces of software I can use that reduce my file size but keep the quality high.............probably not but its worth asking you guys.

I have a program I already use called hand brake but I have stopped using it recently since it never really made a big impact in my eyes.

So yeah any good advice for me :3

Probably the biggest factor is the format you're converting to. .mp4 will give you about the best compression/quality ratio. Normally, Handbrake should do pretty great with that. If you need to get your filesize smaller, you should be able to adjust the bitrate in your settings. Hope that helps!

It does help and hand brake has done quite a decent job, I guess if I continue using it I should try to find some sort of sweet spot on the bit rates.

Oh just for youtube its mainly to reduce upload times, but lately I haven't cared as much and I just didn't bother with hand brake for my last lot of videos.

Oh right, well what do you use to render out your videos?

Well my capture card has its own software that I can download so when I turn it into an MP4 its pretty much all I need.

So I guess I don't use any rendering software, any tips on what would be good to use?

Well, I use Sony Vegas. But that's a paid software and I render into .mp4 also so I don't think you can get much smaller sizes without effecting the quality man, sorry.

Its cool just thought it could be worth a try :)

To be honest I'm happy with the current quality I have but damn it can eat through file sizes and chew memory like crazy!
