Networks Ruining YouTube?

Well, I believe that it has its pros and cons..
There would not be so many people trying to become famous, but there wouldn't be such great content either.. 'cause the great youtubers would have to work to earn a living, and not just focus on videomaking for yt! ;)

No networks would be a great thing- no one would be trying to make it on youtube for simply a quick (not quick) buck. But alas, that would be in a perfect world. If there weren't any networks, I'd still be making videos, a lot of us would. But the business side manages to give people who are creators the chance to do it full time. So yes, there are cons, but those people are usually very obvious, and after not blowing up in a week and a half, they usually quit angrily and try to find another get rich quick scheme.

I'm that's a bit of a loaded title but this is what I mean: Am I the only one that feels as if all the debates and drama regarding partner networks and YouTube is engulfing any last bit of fun or innocence left in YouTubing. I understand there's a business side to YouTube but I do miss the past days of just doing YouTube because you genuinely enjoy it and not because there's a chance you'll become 'internet famous' or make a quick buck. We now have YouTubers ripping off bigger YouTubers, all at a desperate chance at gaining more subscribers.

If I never have to hear about how horrible Fullscreen is or the mess also known as 'AdSense' it will be a happy day.

/Rant.
Actually yes. I think networks ARE ruining YouTube. At his rate, they are making it way too serious. People forget that YouTube is a place for creativity and fun!

No. I think people letting networks ruin their life is what's ruining YouTube. People are too focused on it, rather than their content.
but still ppl focus on the money so they focus on the enjoyment of the ppl ... more ppl laughing means more money so the networks demand more laughing content so the creators focus on more laughing entertaining content to get more money and more popularity ... so ... its like a mery go round basecly

Networks provide incentive to some people to turn out the best content they can, if people can make money doing something they love, why not?

Yes but it's the people who sign up that are often to blame, not the networks.

i think the networks just take advantage of the fact that money atracts moust ppl and so they over use that feature ... so then shouldent networks take more of the blame ?

Copyright oversensitivity also ruins Youtube. Honestly Minecraft wouldn't be so big if they company gave everyone monetizing it a free pass. Yes, I do understand the problem with making money off of other people's works, but I've had videos muted back before I ever heard of networks and adsense. And I hate how for every rule there are a million exceptions. Singers getting taken down for singing covers, when they AREN'T doing it for monetization when people like Beiber started out doing just that. Things like a video being muted cause some dude in the background had LK playing a little too loud in the background, yet I can find tons of channels playing the entire song without being shut down.

Eventually all of Youtube is gonna be cat videos and vlogs. And nothing but.
