No problem, I just feel like this forum is turning into a kindergarten! Haha :D

It's totally acceptable. People under 18 should listen to their parents.
But I still don't understand why the mother won't tell her why.
Consider me stubborn or even stupid, but if that was the case between my mom and I, I wouldn't just stop because she wants me to without even telling me the reason. Thankfully, my mom is happy I do Youtube. I would be miserable if I couldn't do this since it's basically my life right now.

Your parents are in charge. End of story. o.o

I would ask her what is it about YouTube that's bugging her. I would try not to show anger or raise my voice. I wouldn't just ask "Why?" I would ask for specific reasons. She's obviously scared of something so get to the root of it, then offer evidence her fears won't come about and offer up a compromise. Maybe making less videos and doing more of the stuff she wants you to do. Just a suggestion. My mothers was right most of the time, but not always. ;) Now if she flat out says no, you just have to wait to 18, don't do stuff behind her back, that kind of thing becomes a habit. Good luck with your mom.

As much as I have been agreeing 99% of what you have been saying, there are some parents that aren't good at what they do in life. My Mother was a control freak and did everything she could to control so much of my brother & I's lives. I rebelled at 16 and pretty much did my own thing staying at friend's houses and such. Now, in her Mother's case, I don't blame her since she is only 14 years old and trying to put herself on the net. I did the same thing starting in 2006 and have been doing it since (With starting my official show earlier this month).

Listen Kira, I understand you want to be a part of the newer generation of YouTubers, but doing it at 14 requires A LOT to be done. You have more to worry about like school and enjoying your life as a kid before you hit 18. I'm 24 right now and wish I could go back in time and enjoy some of the moments that I missed out on because of the Internet, but I have already chosen my path in life (Not saying YouTube was a bad choice). Just live. That's all you can do.
