"Matched Third Party Content" notice

I've Got It
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

I just uploaded part 1 of our playthrough of Dark Souls and it has a "Matched Third Party Content" notice on it from BandaiChannel. What should I do to take care of that? What options do I have?

Again, sorry if this is the wrong section, I just need some help here.

There is nothing you can do, the game is owned by someone else, that's that, but as long as you don't monetise it there will be no legal issues :)

There is nothing you can do, you can choose to either delete the video or acknowledge that it is their game and that you will not be able to monetize the video.

Doesn't BandaiChannel have nothing to do with Dark Souls? In which case, contest it saying false positive.

If you included cutscenes you should probably just delete it (these aren't usually allowed to be monetised).

If you included sufficient relevant commentary then you can argue fair use for it.

BandaiChannel is to do with Anime, so this could be a false positive.

acknowledge it. it will let youtube know that you have just reliesed and tat it was a mistake. just dont do it again. or you will get a strike

No, they would not get a strike. It would just get Content IDed again. The only way they'd get a strike is if they file a counter-claim and BandaiChannel decides to file a DMCA takedown.

Namco Bandai is the publisher of Dark Souls. I'm not sure if the Bandai animes are within the same company. You could probably argue fair use if you have commentary, but being a small channel you probably won't have much say. Best thing would probably to just leave it alone unless you can confirm it's a false positive. There's not really any negative repercussions that come with having a Content ID matched video, so you can leave the video up if you want. If you're not already partnered, you'll probably have to delete it before signing up.

This happened to me aswell, I beleive it is because of a cutscene. Don't worry about it, later parts won't be getting copyright claims unless there's a cutscene in them. If you want to not get those notices try talking on top of the cutscene (not recommended) or just edit them out and explain them to the viewers once they're done.
