I always make long drawn out posts so please forgive me its just the pasion I have. A few days ago I was posting and something came up about promoting to different sites like facebook, reddit, and others. One of the sites that came up was Youtube.

"Here is my question how would you promote on youtube without looking like your trolling or spaming?"
His response
"i don't know lol"
Im not writing this to demoralize or make fun of him because I understood what he ment kind of. These posts made me think of a conversation between myself and a few other Ytt members a few weeks ago when trying to ask people on youtube to view a video for som reason it is seen as spam.
Warning This is how I do thing I want to make this clear before anyone says what I do is wrong. This is what works for me! I get views and subs by doing this and they actually stay subbed to my channel and they view my videos! You do things the way you want to.
This is how I promote on youtube. I go to various accounts that I already support and are subbed to and one that I dont sub to but still like because they have similar content to my own. Since I do comedy, vlogs, and rants there is alot to choose from.
1. I go to latest vids and i lave a real comment stating what i thought about the video (just pure honesty) and I may or may not leave a comment asking them to check out my video and leave any thoughts if they have any. Some youtubers will actually check your stuff out and leave feed back if they choose to. Which their subscribers will see and check your stuff out and sometimes sub.
2. Now for the times that I dont ask for them to check out my video my comment will usually get top comment alot with most who vote for the comment come to my channel to check me out and sometime subscribe or give me views and comments which help in search ranking.
3. Now for those videos that I really like that I feel represent my style or close I do the above but I also take time and choose 50 to 100 commentors who left good comments about how much they liked the vid and I ethier P.M them asking them in a nice way to considor checking out my channel with an attached video that I think they would like or if they have videos that I like I would comment on it and ask that way. Sometimes in the P.M I dont write anything I just let the attched video speak for it self.
by doing this you do run the risk of getting cursed out or blocked but for the ones that dont you will get either a good comment on your vids, a thumbs up, a subscription or sometimes all three. Which I find is well worth the time and effort.
If you ask any major youtuber they will tell you that the majority of the work is not filming or editing its the promoting of their video because "when its uploaded your work is just starting"
If you cant handle rejection this method is not for you but you have to see it like this any way that you can get good views, feedback and quality subs it shouldnt matter how you get them as long as you get them.
Remember youtube is a social network that you can post videos on. So get out there and be sociall ask for feedback give feedback to others. Support others and in turn maybe they will supposrt you too.
