I think a few of you will relate to this:

When you start making your channel and people are commenting, it's usually only on the most recent video (usually cos that's the one you're currently plugging, or cos it's your featured video etc), but the last few days I've noticed some of my older videos are getting comments and thumbs (from December 2012).

It's nice. Feels like my channel/videos are starting to 'get out there', rather than only being seen in say my signature or the promo forums.

Totally.. I like seeing that our views are increasing and then seeing that it is not the newest video that has more views.. It is also cool to see that other older video's are getting comments and likes and all that.. It is a great feeling makes you feel legit.

I love getting comments, even if its hate comments. Just means someone has gone out their way to watch your video and comment on it xD

Sometimes it's fun if people are getting into your old videos. Tbh, I like watching others old video's (ex. pewdiepie). See how people actually grown and changed while they are doing youtube.
