Hi guys! I want to share something with you :)
Ever wanted to record the screen of your iDevice? I show you how!

Step 1:
Google for "emu4ios" and click on the first link. Download emu4ios on your iDevice.

Step 2:
Open emu4ios and look for the app "Shou". Install it on your iDevice.

Step 3:
Theoretically you're ready to go. If you want to record e.g gameplays, make sure to enable assistive touch in your devices settings.

Step 4:
To start recording, open Shou and click on "start recording". Make sure to set up the right capture settings by clicking on the small button on the right side.

Step 5:
To stop recording, go back into Shou and click on "stop recording".
Then click on the video - still in Shou - and export it to camera roll.

!!ALWAYS REMEMBER TO USE ASSISTIVE TOUCH AND NOT PRESSING THE HOME BUTTON!!
- Cutting and trimming -

Step 1:
Visit the official App Store and search for the app "Video trim & cut" and download it.

Step 2:
Import the video you want to cut from camera roll and simply cut or trim it. Self explaining in the app.
Trim & Cut automatically saves the finished video to camera roll.

- Uploading to YouTube -

Open YT app, click on the Upload Button and well...upload your video. :)

I test emu4ios on my iPad mini, it worked. But it crashed occasionally on my iPhone, any thoughts on what else I could check to fix this? iOS and OS are both fully updated. I used to capture my iPhone screen with acethinker iphone screen recorder, never had that problem.

What's the difference between this and using official software?

At least at the time of writing this, it wasn't possible to record your screen on an ios device (without mirroring to a computer and using a screen recorder from there).

Thanks for your answer! I'm an Android-only guy, I had no idea this was the case on iOS.
