Hey guys! Here is my text tutorial on how to use a After Effects Template for Your Youtube Branding!

You can watch the main video on my channel.
  1. First you want to go onto youtube.com and search on there, "After Effects Intro Template" or "After Effects Template" or even "Youtube Intro Template"
  2. Once you find the template you want to download it.

  1. Once you have downloaded it you want to open it, then extract it.

  3. Once you have extracted it, open the file that ends with .aep it should look distinctly different from the others.
  4. Once you have opened it, it probably looks confusing but there should be a text layer with text "Edit Me"

  6. Go into the "Edit TEXT" Come

  8. Just double click the "EDIT THIS!" or Whatever you say.
  9. Edit your text (sometimes more than once)
  10. Once you have edited it go to Edit > Export > Add to Render Queue on mac or Composition > Add to Render queue on windows.
  11. Screen Shot 2015-01-30 at 10.06.18 AM.png
  12. Next you can edit the settings (I do not know what the best render settings are for windows.

  14. Click the output module and edit your settings, for mac I recommend the quicktime format, then go to Format options
  15. Screen Shot 2015-01-30 at 10.06.51 AM.png
  16. And go to the H.264 Codec, that is the best one I believe.
  17. And then click render!

And that is pretty much it! If you have any questions contact me below! P.S. Use this in your primary branding until you can get a paid intro.

Thank You very much for sharing this! How can you download the intro from a youtube video itself though? Do you mean, that you should download it from a link or just look for that one under the website.
Cheers :)
