I would normally do all the filming and the editing if i needed a friend to film the vlog for like the behind the scene how much should i pay him for the day

This really depends. If you're set on properly paying your friend, look up the minimum wage for his age group, calculate how many hours he'll be approximately helping you and round it up to a nice figure. For example, if the minimum wage is 15 dollars an hour, he'll be helping you for 3 hours = 15x3 = 45 dollars. You get the drift.
