eg videos with "relaxing" music are not a good fit; people "listening" to them are not "watching" them, and they are not looking for a solution to a problem, so they are not likely to provide much of a clickthrough rate for the creator to earn money nor not much of a return to the advertiser who pays for any clicks that happen

Not answering for Youtube's state directly, but it might reflect the "platform's" level.

The Guardian in 2009 described users' comments on YouTube as:[391]

Juvenile, aggressive, misspelled, sexist, homophobic, swinging from raging at the contents of a video to providing a pointlessly detailed description followed by a LOL, YouTube comments are a hotbed of infantile debate and unashamed ignorance – with the occasional burst of wit shining through.
