How long does it usually take you to write a script?

For those of you that script your videos, how long does it usually take you? I rarely do it, but I feel like I always do it fast, taking 1-2 hours max (for about a 5-7 minute video). Not really sure if that's the norm though.

What? I'm asking how long it takes people that write scripts to finish one, not whether or not it's necessary.......

Depends on how distracted I am. Thinking of ideas usually takes the longest, but it usually takes me an hour or so. I just do an outline, not a word for word script.

if i use one its takes me id say an hour or two of work i start with bullet points then expand from there the rest of the work is tweeking the script thinking about the running time etc

It depends on what the idea for the video is. If I have a really good idea I can sit down and type out the script in 5 minutes or less. I think it depends on the topic mostly.

For around 6 pages, it takes me an hour. For me, one page pretty much means one minute of video. Then I come back to it the next day and edit until I feel it's as perfect as it'll get. If it's a script that won't be filmed for a while, I'll space out the editing and just do it at my leisure.
