How long does it take Youtube to review your channel for monetization?

Per title.

I just hit more than 4000 hrs of watch time and over 1000 subs 2 days ago.

Youtube is saying it takes them about 1 month to review it.

I wonder how long do they actually take? How long did they take to review your channels for monetization?

That is not quite what they say. They say "a month or so", which could mean many months.
It takes as long as it takes. There is no set time. Depends on what the first reviewer thinks how obvious a reject/accept it is; if not obvious, then it might get sent for multiple additional reviews, or may be put under a watch to monitor the nature of traffic. Some people are whining that they have waited for almost up to a year.
Probably, the longer it tales, the less likely you are to be approved.

There's no way I'm getting approved then. ASMR is controversial already.
