For the last 2 months i have been working on an idea to encourage kids to live, read books, and go outside. I began this journey by creating my YouTube channel AleksReader because i realized the internet is a great way to get my message out to kids. I want to know if you like my idea, and what you think about it. Your feedback will definitely help me.
 
Moved this to the Script Writing section of the forum for you :) Yes, I think it's important that a message gets out there to kids those messages. Especially in today's technology world. I have three kids and I see the impact technology has.
 
I agree with you :) i see the impact on my younger siblings as well and thank you for doing that, i had no clue where to put it hehe..

Love this idea, but with so many boxes, within one video, of you doing different things, I can tell you that that is going to be too busy for a kid, especially when it comes to storytime. Kids like storytime, because it's relaxing and they can fantasizes about the places in the story. All those windows of you doing different things will take away from both the relaxation and their ability to focus on the story and fantasize about it.

Also, what age group of kids are you targeting? If really young kids, then it is their parents that you need to hook in and quite frankly they enjoy reading to their kids. Kids that are beginning to explore youtube on their own, would generally be at least 8 years old, so might need some more mature reads then your current stories.

Looking forward to seeing where you take this.
 
I was planning to target ages 4-8 with the same idea (boxes around the book) the only difference would be is that i would read some higher level reading and some lower. But now that you mentioned what little kids like about story time i could probably do readings with out the faces for little ones, and use the faces for the age group that's 8+. Thanks for your feedback i truly appreciate it, you really got me to think about my content and the age groups for the readings..
 
You are most welcome Aleks. And as an aside, the boxes with the moving pictures of you around them are too busy for storytime for 8+ too. I use to be a teacher.
 
I really really enjoy the idea! Reading is extremely important to me as well, especially getting the young kids loving it before school makes them hate it! haha
Suggestion wise, have you considered less boxes? Or even having only one of the boxes moving at a time, acting out one part of the story then it would go to the next box for the next part of the story and so on. Just a thought, obviously you can do what you choose.

Thanks for your feedback in the latest video i did 8 boxes... And i actually am planning to do one box for green eggs and ham :) Keep on watching and giving me tips i truly appreciate your thoughts!
