Good Video Length

I've Got It
I was wondering what a good video length for a gaming channel would be. Mine are usually about 3-7 minutes long, but I still don't know what minute I should aim for.

All depends on your video style. If you're doing long Lets Plays then longer videos may work but if you're doing short clips then short videos are better. All depends on what you're putting out. Do what you'd want to watch yourself.

I think it can vary depending on the type of game and the type of video you want to make. If you make quick, actiony, (is that a word?), highly edited videos that are full of energy, up to 10 minutes seems about right. If you like to show let's plays and have a more leisurely playing style, then longer videos would be more suitable.

Depending on the type of game I'm playing and how I want to edit, my videos vary from less than 5 minutes to over an hour.

If you're funny, I'll watch forever. Those Plinkett reviews on RedLetterMedia are like 90 minutes long and I would have gladly sat through hours more. If humor isn't your strong suit, then I'd say you'll be most effective getting in, making your point, and getting out. Which is absolutely fine too.

Since you have a gaming channel, I honestly think it should be over at least 5 minutes if you're playing a short game which takes just 1 video to finish, if it's a long series, the videos should be at least 10 minutes.
