Gaming Videos, filmed on GoPro ?

Hey guys,
Hope youre all ok :)
i wanted to put a couple of Gaming with Rob videos on my channel, as day fillers so to speak.
but i dont have a recording device / pvr, ive only got cameras, ive got 3 different type of camera, a panasonic lumix HD, that i use for my normal videos, a Nikon s3100 which i use for out and about vlogging, and my GoPro Hero.
if i set a camera directly at the screen. do you think this would be good enough for a 7 - 8 minute video ?
or will i definetly need to have a look at Capture Cards ?

You can but it'd be much better to get a capture device, if you're playing on PC there is free software like OBS and Nvidia ShdowPlay, otherwise for console you will need a capture device. I personally don't recommend the camera approach because there's a certain point where video quality can't be overlooked, especially now days.
 
Hi Man,
thats what i was thinking, but as of yet i cant afford one, yeah i run the xbox 360, will the camera approach not work at all :(

no the camera approach wont work, you'll see lag in the video, uneven brightness, and the sound would be way off in the echo.
 
Camera idea nop. It is not a good idea since the camera will capture the brightness and changes really slow and sometimes you can see the famous lines on the tv all the sudden in the camera :/ and then the audio will be really bad
