Does what your watch, subscribe, comment...etc affect your channel traffic (or algorithm) at all?

Question. Does what your watch, subscribe, comment...etc affect your channel traffic (or algorithm) at all? For example if I have 2 youtube account, One has my channel on it and the other is the old account that I've had for a while now just to watch and subscribe to what I like. Should I be using the account with the youtube channel to do all my YouTube surfing. Does it help or hurt my channel at all or does it not really matter since what you provide (channel) is completely separate from what you consume (i.e. watch, surf..etc)

There may be a small benefit from using the same account. Sometimes when you make a comment on someone else's video, they check out your channel. But its rare and has nothing to do with the algorithm.
