Do I need a niche?

I’ve heard conflicting information on whether you need a niche or not. I feel like I should have one but I haven’t FULLY decided what I want my channel to be and I kind of just like doing videos about whatever. But since I don’t have a niche I feel like I can’t hold an audience, and without a niche there’s no community that I can really fit in with? How important do you think having a niche is? Can you be successful without a niche?

keep making videos you are doing great, with time you will home in on fewer topics to make videos on, maybe that's how you will enter a nitche
