Do Categories Increase Views?

Ok, so my title may not be clear.
When you upload a video, does category placement affect your chance of getting views?
I always big "People & Blogs"... but I wonder if I would have a better chance if I put "Comedy" instead.
Well known people like David So categorizes his video as comedy even though he's vlogging.
I wonder if that's a strategy that can be utilized... what do you think?

I was doing some digging... and it seems all the big names on YouTube choose Comedy as their category.
I'm thinking I might as well follow what they do.
Can't go wrong.
