If you just started a youtube channel and you upload a video and gets copywright claimed does it matter as the video isn't monetised anyway and you just began would possible affect it in the future?

As long as you dont get strikes, you will be ok. but you need to remove copyrighted music/videos otherwise you wont get monetized or approved. best to not use music at all all or just buy a subscription for copyright free music like artlist.io and put your website to be whitelisted and state that in the description.

No not serious. YouTube has a safe harbor from the law meaning that copyright claims cannot make you go to court. Unless you appeal a disupted dispue but you know
