Competition!

Hey everyone!]

I'm thinking of entering this competition with my school to do with internet safety. I have to write or do a video blog about online or media based achievements. I had an idea that instead of just talking about my achievements, to also include others as well to get a broad range of what the internet can do for some people!

So if you have any inspirational stories about achievements you've had, or anything at all really please do share if you are willing too! It'd help me out a bunch.

Well I wouldn't do anything telling you to be weary of pedophiles..I find those kind of videos tend to be over done x)
Maybe something about not giving out any personal info, about cyber bullying, or not to post stuff you may regret later could be an OK idea

Oh it's not about safety, even though he actual website is about safety and stuff. It's meant to be a video highlighting the good parts of the internet to show it's not all bad! Through achievements that people have gained through the internet and stuff if ya know what I mean?

Ahhh I see

Well a few years back.. I did s short film for a competition.. through IFC (independent film channel). I didn't win, but they asked if they could feature my short on their website, which I agreed too.. it then got so much buzz that they asked if they could put it on the actual channel.. It ran for about a month on the channel as kinda an in between films thing.. it was 5 minutes long. So that was a cool online achievement.

Could you go with the 'creative outlet' approach for people who may not otherwise have a chance?

Maybe you could also have the angle of people gaining in confidence for real life through a blog? I do lets plays and feel much happier generally in life because of the content I put out and the people I have met are very very cool and supportive.

Just spitballing some ideas .....
