Commentaries or vlogs?

SO HELLO! If you haven't noticed i've been here a lot asking people of their feedback and stuff!
And that's because i'm revamping my youtube channel completely! I just made 140 videos private! And made new channel art, new thumbnail style and I use A LOT more time in editing! :)
One thing I really want to start doing is while still doing my Funtages i want to make videos about topics! I have ideas for stuff like: How would I react react to: World War 3, Zombie Apocalypse etc. And What if I was: A monkey, batman, a fish etc.
But I don't kow If i should vlog or commentate over gameplay! And I am a gameplay channel so commentaries would make sence! Because I am very awkward in front of the camera, but if I keep practising!
But vlogging maybe makes it a bit more personal! And i could do my weird faces and all my weirdness... but would it fit into a gaming channel!
Would people who liked me for my gameplay be annoyed by the vlogs? Or would people who like my vlogs be annoyed by the gaming!

Just please tell me about your thoughts on this! :)
 
It up to you if you like gaming, commentaries are for you, if you want to experience real life, or have some fun doing general real life stuff i would vlog, its completely up to you and shouldn't be forced against any youtuber.

I plan to do vlogging sometime in the future, but that will be put on shelf because of time constraints. I have been comfortable talking in the video, but talking about personal stuff is still a bit sketchy.
 
Monkey, why not just try both at the same time until you have decided? There are 3 outcomes that can happen. The first being that you don't prefer to do the vlog style and just do the commentaries. Second you don't prefer the gaming commentary. Third, you like doing both. If the latter is true, then you can do whichever one you feel like doing more at the time. Try it, if you like it continue, if not, then go another route.

Dude, I think the subscribers may feel annoyed if u change ur gaming channel into vlog or commentaries, but anyway try your luck, all the best :D
You should atleast give it a try :D

Well, good thing I don't have any active subs that I can annoy! ;)

And I wouldn't stop doing Gaming Funtages! I would do both! :P
