Hi All,
Before I start let me say I know at the end this is my decision and that I should play what ever I find most fun but the problem here is i find all of it equally as fun.
So lately I have been thinking .. I want to focus on one type of console to grab a specific audience and then later on branch out from there.
Currently own
Nintendo 3Ds XL
PS4
I was considering buy El Gato and a Wii U so that I could stream wii u and PS4 games ( Dont have any specific genre or game I would want to focus on if i go this route i would play all the new releases)
or have a capture board installed on my 3DS So that I could stream Pokemon Games, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Mario .. & RPGs. ( i feel this will be far easier to edit and please any potential viewers) for a novice editor as my self.
I reason why i dont want to do both is because I am a begginer and would find it easier narrowing my focus down to console or handheld not both.
I guess what I need is opinions .. To help make this decision easier.
Say what you'd like and if your up to here are some questions
- What are you more likely to watch on youtube wii u, ps4, ds?
- are Nintendo games such as pokemon really popular on youtube?
- do you think its easier to grab a nintendo/pokemon audience since i imagine there are fewer streamers/youtubers streaming handheld then there are consoles. Easier to get your foot in the door?

If you find them all fun to play, maybe you can look up what is most popular. What is getting searched the most? Type in some games, see what is getting the most views etc. Maybe that will help drive traffic to your channel.
