A very new concept is to leverage your own viewers/subsribers into MASSIVELY sharing your content. A tool such like spre-ad.com would make you viral.

I lately came across the idea of incentivizing your subs to massively share your content by offering them rewards (special videos, gift card etc). Some small youtubers accounts exploded whilst for some youtubers it did not work. Which one are you?
What is your opinion on this type of concept? Would you use it?

Hey mate,

This sounds just like any run-of-the-mill competition. Competitions have very limited effectiveness as people will only stay and watch in the hope of winning. After a period of time, these people will get bored and stop watching leaving you with a lot of subscribers but not many views.

The best ways to grow your channel are through long term strategies such as:

- Making videos people will want to watch (you need to do research in the area of YouTube you want to enter)
- Try to understand how to use tags and metadata led descriptions so if people search for certain types of videos, yours will be more likely to appear at the top of the search
- Build your own brand and have clear ideas for what you want to do and how you want your audience to perceive you
-Collaborations are a very good way of exposing your channel to other audiences but these cannot be forced and relationships with similar content creators must be nurtured over time to get the best results

While short term strategies will allow you to grow quickly it rarely is sustainable.

Good luck in your endeavours, mate.
