90 Second Song Reviews; good or bad idea?

Okay, so I'm 16 and have always enjoyed the idea of doing something on Youtube; not as a big thing, but as a little hobby on the side, and I've always divulged between either games or music, but I'm not great at having a critical standpoint, as I'm more a consumer with an opinion. While I can go into detail about games, despite the fact that I much prefer music, I only really know the basics to talking about music, but it's 1). A lot cheaper than reviewing games and 2). It's better to talk about a 3 minute audio piece for 90 seconds than it is a £50 10 hour game. However, there's a problem with it: my voice; I can't link videos (I think, but I'm not even going to try) but I'm not sure if my voice would be good enough/entertaining enough to listen to. While I know nothing big would happen to me, as small reviews aren't the big thing that's get me anything above 100 subs, but I wouldn't make videos if I didn't think they were entertaining, and because it's only audio and no video from me (2ugly5dacamera), it wouldn't be the best content for others. Does vocal quality/sound affect the viewing experience? Not as in, mic pops, but more along the lines of "That person's voice annoys me". Thanks

For me, I think it's a good idea. It's unique, and no one (so far as I know) actually do this yet. And for your voice, my voice for me is kinda annoying. I'm a guy and I have to weird like high-pitch voice not that low-pitch voice cool guys have, but I still have something that I really proud of, and that is my hyper personality. I laugh when I laugh, and I scream when I scream, I think the voice really just make me... more me. It's the uniqueness of you, and if you can "use" your voice for something unusual, then I think it's a great idea to try.

You won't know until you try! Your voice is just that, your voice. If you talk in a robot monotone pitch, then that's not likely to help you out. But if you put some "passion" into what you're reviewing, you'll do good! If you like the song, it should sound like you really care about it and if you hate it, then you could sound angry or sarcastic. Plus I'm not sure anyone likes the sound of their own voice :D I'd say your bigger issue might be what types of songs would you review? And are you planning to use the actual song in your videos ... which will likely result in a copyright claim?
