3D YouTube Intro Tips

So guys how do you make your own 3D like YouTube intro (you know where you just display your username or the name of the series your making)? Do you use programs like Cinema 4D or do you find a free intro on a website? Plus, how long do you usually make these intros (I know they shouldn't be that long or you will use viewership).

Hey there!
I make 3d logos/intros inside of Adobe After Effects with the plug in Element 3D. I would be happy to make one for you for free, just explain in as many details what you want (Music, color of text, font, color of background, effects, e.t.c).

Um are you sure? I really don't want to be a hassle.

Get Maya and a decent renderer like Vray. Imo Element 3D does not offer enough flexibility in terms of rendering and you cannot model stuff. If you want something quick and dirty then it works, but I would rarely use it on a proper project or intro or whatever.

What about Cinema 4D?

C4D is better than element obviously, but it is primarily designed for motion graphics - it certainly doesn't have any form of good photorealistic renderer. It is designed to be simple and quick, not necessarily very good or comprehensively featured.

Do you know if there is an online version of creating 3D intros?

3D is not really ever simple. To my knowledge there is no tool online but even if there was your result would look generic and horrible. Download Blender and learm how to use it. It is free and open source!
