Youtube PM Notifications?

Hey, all. I was wondering if anyone knew how to enable notifications for Youtube PMs? I never know when I get a PM. I recently sent a message, and I wouldn't have even known that I had gotten a reply if I hadn't randomly checked my "sent" messages section of my PM box.

It is so bizarre how Youtube hides those now. I've stumbled across some messages also just by accident. A few times, the messages were people who wrote wanting to use my footage. It meant a lost opportunity not knowing they had written!!

yah, it's pretty lame - either there is no notification or the option to turn it on is hidden so well that nobody can find it.. I too have stumbled across messages from months prior.. Now i try to remember to manually check it every few days.
