I'm not the only complaining. Music industry, Television, journalistes and Movie industry like Hollywood are complaining too. You're just too small and naive.
Well, simple solution. Just go find another platform. That will stop your belly aching.

But of course that's not going to happen. Because prior to YT there was no income and there still are few alternative options.

So maybe just demonetize and spare us all the crying in the Cornfakes scenario.

After all you're a big boy (or girl) so who needs YT and Adsense anyway ? Just go without.

It's obviously less than you expect, so just go for totally less, like nothing. Maybe that will make you happy.

for my 'proper' shorts and feature length content i am testing the waters with amazon prime video now that the platform seems to have matured and is open to anyone with a portfolio of content. not saying amazon is any better but i am saying i won't know until i've run some content on it.
