Why is the "Youtube Search" analytics so incomplete?

For 99.99999% of upstart youtubers, the "youtube search" feature is going to be the primary means of getting discovered on youtube. So it's a pretty important statistic in youtube's analytics.

The "youtube search" page of the studio beta shows me what each keyword search actually resulted in a click for me, and the average view duration for those clicks. That way, we can see what search results get the most watch time on our channel, and optimize our future videos and their respective SEOs accordingly.

However, it almost never shows me the keyword searches for every watch minute I receive.

For example, this morning, the amount of "youtube search" watch time that actually showed me the keywords being searched for only accounted for 8% of the total watch time that came from youtube searches. 92% of the "youtube search" watch time didn't have any search phrases attached to them.

How the hell am I supposed to make an informed decision about future SEO with such incomplete information?
