What really is a Monetised Playback?

Coucou!

I'm a little bit confused about this so hopefully someone can help me out.

What I've been understanding is that a monetised playback is IF someone clicks the ad, is that how it works? and then you get paid for that...

I know there are different type of ads. I'm guessing Non-skippable ad count as a monetised playback but the rest of them need to be clicked on in order to work.

I thought you were paid by ads shown in the video, no matter if someone clicks it or not so that's pretty much why I'm confused. I appreciate any help, thank you so much for your time!

A monetized view is a view during which at least 1 ad was shown.

Yeah some ads are PPC (pay per click) I think the midroll overlay ads are PPC. They are the overlay text ads THe "video ads" that appear before during or after are "pay per view" and PPC I think. In other words, the creator gets paid every time they are viewed and they also get paid if the viewer clicks. I'd recommend you go to the adwords site and read the help. :)
