What do you use to create thumbnails? And why?

With photoshop older times now with tubebuddy is an extension for google chrome to youtube that make very easy this work.

I also use photoshop while doing aa tutorial. It's also hard to use it especially the free flow pencil. Maybe I'll become use to it as time pass by..

I use Photoshop, and I use thumbnails because I think it grabs people's attention.

I either use YouTube and pick one of the 3 thumbnails it chooses if one of them looks good enough (about half the time), or I watch the video until a good frame comes up, take a screenshot of the screen, paste it into Paint, and crop it. The purpose of thumbnails is to demonstrate what you'll see in the video, IMO, just like thumbnails for pictures.
