Hamachi, implying locally hosted on your computer, implying only ever turned on when it suits you? Also totally reliant on you having not only a good computer but also great bandwidth? Can you tell I've not had a single good experience with a server hosted locally? Hell, even my own experiments with the minecraftserver.exe, or Open To LAN and Hamachi haven't gone well and I'd like to think I know what I'm doing.

Good luck dude, I seriously think you're going to need it. If you somehow manage to pull it off and make it work on a regular basis you're already doing better than 95% of locally-hosted Minecraft LP's out there.
