What are people's thoughts on making videos that are NOT 16:9 aspect ratio? It was a big no-no a few years ago, but things have changed.
As you probably know, most views are on mobile where the video size adjusts to the aspect ratio. For example, a 9:16 video (portrait orientation) can be watched full screen on mobile phones now.
I have always used 16:9, but I have a video idea which may work better with a 1:1 aspect ratio. So I think I'm going to do it that way.
By the way, probably the most successful channel that does not use 16:9 is 5-Minute Crafts with their square videos. That channel has 46 million subscribers!
