I have a project which has 4 timers, 2 video sources and several overlays, and it makes the preview screen in Vegas Pro lag like crazy. Is there anything I can do to make it more smooth? I even have it on the lowest preview quality.

Hmm... I'm not sure if that will work.
The issue seems to be with my four timecodes. If I mute those timelines, the video is much smoother.
I think I'll just edit with them muted, and unmute them once I'm done.

Thanks, anyways!

It would, as proxy editing is designed so that lower end computers can edit 4K and more easily. Could just be Vegas being a b*****d, and kind of sounds like it from what you say!

I think so.
I have 16GB of RAM and an i7, so I don't understand why it struggles so much lol
