Upload times?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but..

Whenever I upload a video it takes hours. The five minute ones I posted took 6+ hours to upload and I'm trying to upload a 14min video right now and it says it's going to be about 15 hours.

Is this normal? I mean, I don't mind I guess but I do wish it was faster.

How long does it take for YOU to upload videos?

Holy crap. Maybe there IS something wrong with how I'm doing it.
Or it might just be because my laptop is old and stuff.

Either way, I'm jealous of you!

Depends on your upload speed. Mine is 3.5 mb/s so my 500 mb videos take about 25-30 min. You can check your upload speed by typing in internet speed test on google. It's the first link.

Mine says 0.19mb per second, which seems quite bad to me. Oh well. I can probably manage to put up with it.

Hey I am with sky tv broadband in the uk upload speed is under 1mb a ten minute vlog can take 2 - 3hours to upload.

What is your file size? it used to take me a long time to upload my Vlogs until I started exporting them smaller but still in HD.

To be honest not sure, do the editing and sharing in imovies and let that do the work. It slows our whole internet down when we upload so maybe its natural to take so long, we don't have fibre optic broadband just basic broadband.

I think the upload speed depends on your connection speed and also file size. My files aren't very big and I have good connection speed, so it takes about 3 minutes.
