Nope, not all all. Just keep doing what you love to do. Popping up on the trending section is like bonus points, but it's not necessary for success.

The Youtube Trending tab is a bad joke gone wrong.
Most of it is paid promotion anyways, so there's no reason anything that's actually good will end up on there.
